Postira is placed on the northern part of the island of Brac in a bay which is suitable for sailors. In Postira there are various catering facilities that are available to guests.



There are also hotels, inns and private apartments for rent, very diverse sports offer on the courts for basketball, throwing balls and tennis. There is also a possibility of playing football at the grass football field. In the area of Postira there are numerous bays that are excellent for enjoying the sea and swimming.

The most popular bay is Lovrecina with it's sandy beach, which is extremely suitable for game "picigin" and swimming because of their small depth.

of the historical sights we have to emphasize the birth house of the poet Vladimir Nazor and the church from 16. century in which is saved several highly valuable paintings.

A few kilometers east from Postira, in already mentioned bay Lovrecina, are the ruins of the basilica from the 5. century where are found early Christian sarcophagi and fragments.
